Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress who was born in Berkeley on the 1st October 1996. She is an American actress who was seen in Choices (2010) as well as The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).
Asia Argento is an Italian actress and film-maker born into an extended family. She has pursued both professions herself. The Church, directed by Michele Soavi, was her first role. Red Wood Pigeon, the film she appeared in as Nanni Moretti's little daughter was released just a few years later. But it was Close Friends by Michele Placido that saw Asia's acting career begin to take off. Cannes International Film Festival was an enormous success for the film. Daria Nicholodi is one of Argento's favorite actresses. She was cast as an obese child who is looking for their murderer. Asia's absorbed intense style of performing was well used in the film Condannato a nozze. In 1993, Asia co-starred in the role of Arianna a disabled child in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista. This was a challenging and demanding character for which she won an award of David di Donatello. Her 1995 work alongside Michel Piccoli for Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio won her an award from David diDonatello as well as an award of Grolla of Oro. Asia's first short film was an episode of the De Generazione movie. Two years later, Asia became a director and completed two other films. The first, AbelAsia was a homage to her father. Asia started directing her first feature film in 1999. It was Scarlet Diva. In the film she also played the lead actress and also directed the script. It premiered worldwide in May 2000. It was the winner of an award in Brooklyn's Williamsburg festival of film.
